Corrections, disputes and removals

Austin Landscapers is a directory of landscaping businesses in Austin, built from publicly available information and scored against a single, published standard applied equally to every business. Your listing comes from sources like Google Business Profiles and public business records, and your score is calculated from Google reviews using the same rubric used for all other landscapers here. Listing and review visibility are free, and payment cannot move your score or your ranking. This page explains how we handle corrections to your business details, disputes about your score or data accuracy, and removals from the directory. The full rubric is published under our rubric.

Corrections to business details

If your listing shows an incorrect phone number, address, website, business name, hours, or the services you offer, you can request a correction. We will update it when you provide the correct information and point us to a source that confirms it, such as your website or your Google Business Profile. Once corrected, the information stays accurate through future data refreshes, so you will not have to re-report the same fix.

Disputes about your score or data

We do not hand-edit scores, so if you believe your score is wrong, the issue is in the underlying data: your listing may be mixed up with another business, reviews may be linked to your profile incorrectly, or our summary of what your reviewers wrote may be inaccurate. A dispute means you are telling us the input data is broken, not that you want a higher number. When you dispute, we re-examine the sources and regenerate your listing. A dispute will not lead to a new score unless the data itself was actually wrong.

Removals and delistings

We remove listings when a business is permanently closed, when a listing is a duplicate of another, or when a business falls outside the scope of this directory. We also run a monthly verification pass that automatically catches and removes closed businesses. If your listing is accurate and your business is active and in scope, we will decline the removal and tell you plainly why. Confirmed removals are processed within 7 days.

How quickly we respond

Every request gets an acknowledgment within 5 business days. Removals that are approved are completed within 7 days. Requests we decline come with a clear explanation of why.
